Small Tractor Design Engineer

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Execute the design of the system assigned respecting timing, cost and quality targets

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In order to achieve the tasks, the main responsibilities of the position include:

• Design in 3D of components/sub assembly.
• Creation 2D drawings with dimensions and tolerances
• Manage technical review with suppliers
• Work close to the packaging activities (on new programs and current products)
• Virtual PIR management – solve issues coming out of advanced manufacturing process.
• Liaise with the calculation engineer to optimize and verify the design.
• Liaise with the manufacturing entity to support and optimize the processes.
• Vehicle Homologation - Responsibility for Homologation drawings and schematics for the subassemblies, maintains the Homologation checklist together with the vehicle architect.
• Engineering Services management - technical interface of Product Engineering versus Engineering Services to define groups and links to variants of the subassemblies. Release new design into BOM.
• Drives the standardisation and defines the guidelines for new developments in terms of materials and technology for the specific applications.
• Work in Co- Design with suppliers, Co-ordinate Outsourcing Engineers.

YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Mechanical / Electrical Engineering degree or technical background desired
• Advanced knowledge of English (written and spoken)
• Advanced CAD 3D user (TeamCenter, VisMockup and Creo preferred)
• Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
• Prior experience in design of agricultural or off road equipment is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical / Electrical design area of automotive company

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Eligibility to work in the main european engineering sites
• Driving Licence, Auto (tractor would be an advantage )
• Ability to travel around the territory and  availability to occasional travels (including international) with some over-night stays.
• Languages: fluent in English and Italian preferred
• An independent thinking is required. Able to work under minimal supervision and to manage multiple projects
