PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Product Quality Technician will report to the Current Product Quality Specialist’s and support them in the day-to-day management of product quality & technical concerns. The primary focus of the Product Quality Technician role will be to investigate product technical issues arising from the field, resolving directly or capturing detailed information to support the Current Product Management Team in issue resolution.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- identifying immediate containment / resolution where possible. Capturing & documenting all possible specific performance, measurements, observations and data to accurately describe the phenomena and issue description, as well as the customer expectations and so bringing the “voice of the customer”. Preparation of detailed field visit reports for use by Current Product Quality Specialists.
- Testing & analysis of field returned parts, preparation of accurate & detailed failure reports for use by the Current Product Specialists.
- Tracking of “on Test Parts” and providing regular status & performance updates.
- Organisation, Maintenance & Control of Dept Special Tools & Service Information.
- Develop rework procedures for necessary product updates / reworks and fully document the procedure to support provision of service information to the Field.
- Participate in Product Quality Audits and other product reviews as part of the continuous improvement process.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma / Degree in Agricultural, Mechanical or Electronical Engineering
- Agriculture background with sound knowledge of agricultural practices & practical knowledge of tractor operations.
- Good technical knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical systems & willingness to take a hands-on practical approach
- ICT skills: familiar with Microsoft Office
- Language skills: English. Other languages an advantage.

- Good customer service skills (customer relation management)
- High level of autonomy & flexibility, wiliness to travel at short notice including international travel.
