Automotive Benchmarking Engineer

Main Responsibilities: Represent Benchmarking inside Technical Core-Team to reactively supply or plan actions Plan and manage competitors vehicle Generate and manage Benchmarking Performance Tracking index Supply benchmarking scouting, vehicle rental and testing management along all Program development phases. Main activities: Active participation in the definition and identification of reference competitors in all phases of the project. Generate specific Benchmarking budget for pre-spending and initiative Participate to CCP planning and manage competitors (with Quality) Define and manage the Vehicle Target Settings testing Plan (with VIR) Plan and manage competitors vehicle performance assessment along all development phases (Quality gates, IRP, Design Validation…) Generate and update Benchmarking Performance Tracking index. Constantly investigate the evolution of competitors within the perimeter of the project by constantly updating the team anticipating any requests and generating continuous and timely know-how on the development and innovations of the competition. Proposing measures and analysis of new content creating parallel test plans at completion of the measures closely linked to the project's timing with high proactivity and insight with the purpose of generating a complete characterization of the competitors. Creation of a related summary document. Find external (scouting) and internal information responding to the project's know-how needs quickly, promptly and efficiently generating the related documentation transmitting information effectively and with a high level of quality. Participate and be the reference person for Benchmarking in the weekly technical development meeting of the project team to reduce delays in the team’s benchmarking queries process. Ensure generation of reports of tests performed by the performance and ensure that these are stored in the Benchmarking database being accessible to all PD community (know-how) and shared with the other benchmarking engineers (cross-programs efficiencies). Support for organization of Drive Day with management. Find results of subjective analysis in comparison with competitors. Plan and manage additional testing activities on competitors related to analysis on components that are transversal to different projects. Drawing up a Test Reports Summary Document of the measurements carried out on the competitors of project. Management and maintenance of competitors cars fleet (property and rental) related to the project. Guarantee Quality, Costs and Timing Develop self and department’s know-how Requirements Master’s Degree in Engineering; English (fluent) (German would be very appreciated) Good knowledge of Office pack Rigorous, accurate, autonomous and proactive to manage efficient activities on time Soft skills such as Communication; Negotiation; Problem-solving and Autonomy 5 to 6 years in an automotive industry Almost 1 or 2 experiences in the following automotive domain : benchmarking, Vehicle Testing, HMI, ADAS, vehicle dynamics, P&FC, Aerothermal, HVAC, ergonomics 360° know-how on Automotive (Premium competitors, segmentation, vehicle specifications, …) Good synthesis written communication skills Team working (with Blue/White collars) Mobility (for some testing sessions) Our benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
