Development Engineer

Tetra Pak Development & Engineering seeks to achieve value-driven innovation by defining new concepts, scouting for partnerships, and applying new technology developments. Within Sealing Solutions & Materials Engineering, the team Sealing & Materials Integration is now looking for a Development Engineer that will secure focus and drive on the integration of Sealing and Materials Solutions in development projects. As Development Engineers you will work together with different competences necessary to develop and deploy robust packaging and equipment solutions, representing the Sealing organization and capability. The position is based in Modena and may require some travelling Key Responsibilities Develop innovative solutions based on technical specifications in the relevant competence area Product developments and on issue resolution activities V&V elaboration and execute in physical rigs or filling equipment Breaking down sealing requirements Secure the robustness of sealing solutions integration for our customers Translate market, cost and technical requirements into technical specifications Validate and document with calculations and detailed analysis the above solutions in Development Reports Advise TP organization (MCs, Bas, and field) on specific technical subjects, current solutions and project timelines Act as tutor and share competence knowledge in the relevant competence areas within TP Build, maintain and drive internal and external competence networks. Technical cooperation with suppliers and other partners. Experience The successful candidate should have competence on the filling equipment and either competence in Verification & Validation in technical complex areas. Since your work will involve multi-countries collaborations, it is important that you have good team-playing skills, good presentation skills, are result oriented and have good written and spoken English. You also have personal drive and are independent in the exploration of the given task, taking initiatives and proposing solutions and actions. You will be engaged in working in different context, such as technology developments, product developments and on issue resolution activities sometimes also directly at customer side. Some documented experiences, also gained in similar tasks in other industries, will be considered as a plus. Education Master of Science degree in technical discipline, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Material or equivalent) Male or Female applicants to the position are appreciated.
