Your ‘day to day’
As maintenance lead you will report to the Line Lead and will be part of our Manufacturing department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna. The position will be based in Bologna.
In your role, you will Execute and lead the processes for eliminating losses related to maintenance and breakdowns at the lowest cost as well as building capability in the team to support in delivering the business result of the assigned RRP lines and fully applying the Integrated Manufacturing System and PMI standards and policies. Tou will also act as the lines owner of (a) Breakdown elimination, and (b) Maintenance planning and scheduling Daily Management Systems and as the technical expert in problem solving and on floor troubleshooting. A majority of the individual’s time will be spent on the floor working with the teams and building the capability of the people in respected area.
Your Responsibilities
Participates on setting the 24 hours direction for the line(s) during the Daily Direction Setting (DDS) and is actively involved in the execution of the daily plan. Provides input during the DDS meeting related to any maintenance activities and tasks, which need to be completed during the following planned stop. Responsible for following up on breakdown elimination and maintenance planning and scheduling DMSs.
Leads the scheduling and participates in the execution of the regular maintenance activities as prescribed in maintenance tasks. Review, prioritize and manage 24 hours’ work notification and backlog work orders in order to meet the business result. Ensure the maintenance technical documentation is available and up to date. Participate actively in the development and reviews of the line(s) annual maintenance plan.
Actively participates in developing, execution & reviewing the 90 days master plans in order to drive breakthrough result in machine performance through reducing planned and unplanned downtime.
Ensures standard progressive maintenance monitoring systems such as PM card, deep analysis, and Dice chart are in place and used to eliminate future breakdowns on the line(s).
Works together with the team and maintenance group in order to analyze and execute the maintenance tasks to ensure the assigned RRP line(s) are meeting the expected performance. Actively provide the input in spare part optimization and support the line lead to follow up the defect handling execution.
As the technical line expert, build the capability of the team on technical troubleshooting and technical mastery through coaching and delivering on the job training. Ensure the completion of the established training plan
Ensure full compliance with local legislation, company policies and practices and the IMS. Adhere to all Quality, Environment, and Health, Safety, and Security (QEHS&S) rules, policies and practices by applying and ensuring workplace and other employee in compliance with norms by local regulation. As the incident elimination DMS owner, he/she has to review safety incident investigations to ensure the corrective actions are in place. Execute weekly DMSs health checks to identify gaps and constraints in the organization and implement appropriate countermeasures accordingly.
Who we’re looking for
University degree in Engineering or Technical High school with minimum 3 years’ experience in Production/Manufacturing
Previous experience or exposure to people coordination / management activities would be an asset
Experience with MS Office Package and ability to to perform the Integrated Manufacturing System tools
Communication Ability and commitment to drive change in production; floor Experience of leading a small project team; High level of personal responsibility and accountability for results; Demonstrated strong interpersonal collaboration skills; Effective communication skills both verbal and written; Ability to coach and train others; Analytical & Problem Solving skills; Practical experience and technical knowledge of the equipment
Fluent in English and Italian both written and spoken.
