Development Engineer

Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions S.p.A. is seeking for open minded, highly motivated person to reinforce their team. Now we are looking for a: Development Engineer for Injection Moulding Openings in our Development & Engineering Package Solution department in Modena. Overview of the Position: The Development Engineer will have to lead the technical development of our injection moulding openings and their application over the package, from development of opening design, choice of technical solutions up to the evaluation of the package and its performance. This role will have a focus on leading various projects by driving design and test activities. Key Responsibilities of the job Lead and coordinate medium development activities according to corporate and product specification internally and in partnership with suppliers, specialists and consultants; Issue test specification and lead evaluation of package performance, openings, rigs or material according to product specification; Investigate and compare of earlier performed test in the opening and package area, also through definition of specific test methods; Check the technical documentation related to the performed activities; Document validation results; Lead and coordinate design of injection moulded plastic parts and of related moulds; Lead and coordinate laboratory activities. Requirements Language and Education: To be a successful candidate you should have a University Degree Mechanical or Material Engineering, or Industrial Design. The II level University Degree will be considered a plus. You are fluent both in written and spoken English. Professional Skills and Experience: To be successful in the position you need to have at least 3 years of experience in the field of injection moulding. 3D cad knowledge will be considered a plus. Experience with Scrum methodology is also an advantage. Personal Qualifications: We believe you have the ability to develop ideas and identify better solutions. You are result oriented, and able to deliver results in line with the expectations. You also should have the ability to work together with others, provide effective communication. Beside this you are able to work independently as well, and you take the responsibility for your decisions. You have a systematic approach to problem analysation. In order to be successful in the role you should have the ability to follow and coordinate activities within different departments. You have the ability to observe the implications and consequences of complex problems; also, to find the effective solutions for them.
