Mechanical Designer

In this position you will have the opportunity to work with technical challenges in a creative work environment to develop Tetra Pak’s future Packaging Systems. You will belong to the Injection Moulding team within the Development & Engineering organisation. We are responsible for the development of Tetra Pak’s product portfolio targeting competitive alternatives for customers requesting additional opening functionality compared to traditional packages using injection moulding as the means. As a In-Line Injection Moulding Engineer you will be working with the product development of our filling machine equipment, primarily in the area of injection moulding, adding new functionality, improving existing solutions or completely new systems. You will work in a mechatronic environment and with engineers that are among the best in the world in respective areas. What you will do: • Design of components and virtual simulations in Creo and other relevant softwares, mainly in the area of injection moulding, meeting agreed requirements. • Interact, drive and cooperate with relevant external partners and suppliers in the area of mechanical design. • Secure design quality. • Involvement in tests in filling machines and test rigs. . Who you are: To be successful in this position we believe that you have a Bachelor of Science or higher in Mechanical Engineering. We are looking for a candidate that have the proven ability to propose and describe new advanced designs. You have 2-5 years experience from working with mechanical design preferrable within the injection moulding technology area, or equivalent, preferrably also in development activities. You have understanding in simulations/virtual development and manufacturing techniques. Experience in filling machines and robust design methodology is meriting. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. As a person you have strong analytical skills and a personal drive with the ability to meet set targets. It is important that you have a creative mind with a strong interest of continuously improvements, technical challenges and innovative solutions.
