YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’ As Manager PMO, you will be part of Manufacturing Solutions department for Philip Morris International and will be reporting to the Head S&PD. The position is based in Bologna (Italy). A key responsibility will be to taking responsibility for the management and advancement of project and program management in the department! You will perform research, makes appropriate recommendations, ensure alignment of project management efforts, ensures standard methodologies, serves as a senior resource to the Management Team, provides expertise, promotes external partnerships and supervises senior Project and Program Managers assigned to programs and projects. You will become the solely source of information about PBO, project management methodologies and best practices, tools related to managing projects /programs, while ensuring that all employees are following the best project/program management practices! Specific responsibilities include: • Supervise very closely the execution of programs / projects with high importance and impact. Ensure that all these projects are initiated, planned, executed and closed following the project management methodologies established by the department • Accountability for program and project management methodology, templates and tools to be used for projects/programs. Be the guardian of them and ensure full adherence of project leaders and management. Train / promote training for project leaders, engineers, managers, directors in the methodology / tools as required • Act as main advisor and support very closely project leaders and managers. Be the main contact between MS Sr Management and departments / project leaders • Accountability for project/program health checks and ensure the MS organization is always growing / advancing in project / program management skills • Provide mentorship and advice towards project/program results, risks, schedule and financials • Support the preparation of business case's & 650's in order to request vital funds for the programs / projects execution. Supervise financials expenditures and advise / act when needful • Develop, establish and maintain KPI’s & statistics to supervise the quality / efficiency of projects execution with the ultimate goal of continuous improvement. Establish and maintain the necessary dashboards with the related relevant information about project / program management Key Qualifications: • University degree in Engineering or Technical areas. Advanced studies are desired • Project / Program Management Certifications • Validated experience in an Engineering / Project Management department within a factory or regional / global function. Additional experience within PMI manufacturing environment is a plus. Requirements & Skills: • Hands on in leading projects of all sizes and dimensions from factory floor to corporate functions. • Deep knowledge of MS office and PM tools, statistic tools and skills to develop KPI's and perform managerial analysis • Strong communication skills and huge negotiation, problem solving and analytical thinking abilities.
